WILBRAHAM — The Wilbraham Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place at the Big Y Express on Boston Road early Wednesday morning.
According to Captain Shawn Baldwin, the department received a 911 call around 5:30 a.m. from a clerk reporting a larceny in progress.
Officers arrived at the convenience store swiftly but the suspects had already fled the scene in a vehicle.
The area was secured by the responding officers who, after conducting interviews and reviewing video footage, confirmed that the robbery was carried out without the use of a weapon or threats to the store clerk.
The amount and type of items stolen have not been specified.
The Wilbraham Police Department is actively pursuing leads in the ongoing investigation.
