TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus announced that the Tewksbury Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a recent burglary at Kay’s Hallmark Store.
The incident occurred early Monday, Dec. 30, when police were called to the store at 1900 Main St. around 5:25 a.m. after reports of an open back door.
Officers arriving on the scene noted several missing ceiling tiles near the store’s entrance and discovered the cash registers had been tampered with, with money missing.
Investigators believe the suspect gained entry to the building through the roof and accessed the store interior via the air vents.
Despite a search of the vicinity, the police did not find the suspect, who is believed to have made off with an undisclosed sum of money.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black sneakers, two-toned gray work gloves, and a red ski mask.

Additionally, a suspicious individual matching the description and wearing a red ski mask was reported on Shawsheen Road, potentially linking them to the crime.
