SHELDON — A single-vehicle crash on E. Sheldon Road led to a Richford woman being cited for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license, authorities said.
At 8:16 p.m. on Dec. 29, Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks were dispatched after receiving reports of a vehicle that had crashed into residential property and fled.
Upon arrival, they discovered a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt with front-end damage and determined that the driver, Brittney Myres, 37, had left without notifying the homeowner.
Investigations revealed that Myres was operating the vehicle while her Vermont driver’s license was under criminal suspension.
She was also not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and sustained minor injuries.
Myres was later located and has been issued a criminal citation to appear in the Franklin County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. to face charges related to the incident.
