Three arrested in St. Johnsbury retail theft case

ST. JOHNSBURY — Vermont State Police arrested three individuals on Dec. 30 for multiple counts of retail theft after recovering hundreds of dollars worth of stolen items.

Dalton Kraft, 29, of Newbury; Stephanie Pike, 49, of Halifax; and Michaela Plante, 28, of Burlington, were apprehended following a report of theft at Ocean State Job Lot.

Police received the call at approximately 5:44 p.m. and soon stopped a vehicle that matched the description of the suspects’ getaway car.

During the traffic stop on 2000 Memorial Drive, troopers found several items reported stolen from the store.

All three suspects were taken into custody without incident and charged with retail theft.

Kraft, Pike, and Plante were processed at the St. Johnsbury barracks and cited to appear in Caledonia Superior Court to face the charges.

The date for their court appearance has not been disclosed.
