SOUTH PORTLAND — South Portland Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in Redbank Village just after 11 p.m. on Sunday, December 29.
Upon arrival at 98 Wainwright Circle West, officers discovered several bullets had struck the residence.
The front door and living room wall were penetrated by the gunfire.
Shell casings were found on the street outside the apartment, but fortunately, there were no injuries reported.
The incident is currently under investigation, and no suspects have been detained.
Authorities have identified a light-colored 4-door hatchback vehicle potentially linked to the shooting through witness accounts and security video.
Detective Jeff Levesque and Detective Lieutenant Christopher Todd are leading the investigation and urge anyone with information to come forward.
