NEW HAVEN — A 65-year-old Vergennes man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a motor vehicle crash on Vermont Route 17 near Legend Lane on Dec. 30.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene around 6:15 p.m. to investigate the incident.
During the investigation, authorities determined that Roger P. Regnaud had been operating his vehicle while impaired.
Troopers at the scene noted signs of impairment with Regnaud, who was then screened for DUI.
Following the assessment, he was taken into custody.
Regnaud was processed at the New Haven State Police Barracks and subsequently released with a citation.
He is scheduled to appear in the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Jan. 13.
