STAMFORD — In a significant strike against local drug distribution, the Stamford Police Department’s Narcotics & Organized Crime Unit, aided by the patrol division, conducted a successful operation on Dec. 26, resulting in the confiscation of a substantial amount of Phencyclidine (PCP) and other hallucinogenic substances.
The well-coordinated raid was the culmination of an extensive investigation, leading officers to execute search warrants at a residence located at 63 Ledge Lane.
Authorities seized $2,822 in U.S. currency, 56 fluid ounces of liquid PCP, 1 ounce of mint leaves infused with PCP, 147 ecstasy pills, and various items associated with drug packaging, including scales and a money counter.
Additionally, two vehicles, a 2010 Lexus RX350 and a 2007 Lincoln Navigator, were impounded.
Trevor Whittingham, born Sept. 30, 1975, was arrested in connection with the seizure.
Whittingham faces charges for Possession of Hallucinogen, Possession of Hallucinogen with Intent to Sell, and Operating a Drug Factory.
His bond was set at $150,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 9.
The Stamford Police Department has highlighted the dangers associated with PCP, emphasizing the severe psychological and physical effects it can have, including hallucinations, aggression, memory loss, and potentially fatal health complications.
The risks extend beyond the users, potentially endangering the broader community.
This operation underscores the department’s ongoing commitment to eradicating the distribution of dangerous drugs and maintaining the safety of Stamford residents.
