SOUTH WINDSOR — Two local men were arrested on separate charges, one for failing to appear in court and another for importing and possessing child sex abuse material, authorities said Monday.

On Dec. 27, at 4 p.m., South Windsor Police Department arrested Justin T. Gagnon, 41, after he turned himself in on an active arrest warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Gagnon was processed at the department headquarters and released on a $10,000 surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court today at 9 a.m.

In a separate incident, Eric J. LeClair, 29, was arrested on Dec. 28 at 8:42 a.m. on charges related to child sex abuse material.

The arrest followed a June tip from the CT Center for Digital Investigations, which received information from Media Lab/Kik Messenger about such material.

An investigation traced the IP address to a South Windsor residence, where LeClair was identified as a suspect.

After a search warrant was executed in October at LeClair’s residence, electronic devices were seized, and additional child sex abuse material was found.

LeClair turned himself in at police headquarters and was processed.

He was released on a $75,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Jan. 15 at 9 a.m.
