ANDOVER — A Leicester man was arrested after allegedly providing false information to law enforcement regarding a missing firearm, Vermont State Police reported.
On June 12, at approximately 6:25 p.m., troopers responded to a residence in Andover following a report of a missing firearm.
During the investigation, Padraic M. Mulcahy, 35, was found to have knowingly given false information to officers with the intent to implicate another person and to hinder the ongoing investigation.
Authorities revisited Mulcahy’s residence on Dec. 29, where he was taken into custody and brought to the New Haven Barracks for fingerprinting and photographing.
Mulcahy is facing several pending charges in connection with the incident.
Following his arrest, Mulcahy was released with a citation to appear in the Addison County Superior Court Criminal Division on Feb. 24 at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the charges.
