ELLSWORTH — Police arrested a man Sunday in connection with a burglary at Friends & Family Market on State Street where cigarettes and scratch-off lottery tickets worth around $600 were stolen.
Ellsworth Police Department officers responded to the burglary report early Sunday.
Security footage captured the suspect(s) involved in the theft.
Following a search warrant executed at a local residence, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office assisted in recovering evidence, although the suspect(s) were not present.
Later the same day, police stopped a vehicle and detained 34-year-old Marshall Fowler of Lamoine, who was a passenger.
Fowler was arrested and charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and violation of conditions of release after being questioned at the police department.
Fowler is currently held at the Hancock County Jail.
