Brentwood police warn of persistent scammer posing as a paver

BRENTWOOD — A scam alert has been issued by the Brentwood Police Department after a report of a suspicious person attempting to defraud a local resident under the guise of home improvement services.

According to police, the incident involved a male suspect driving a white SUV.

The man allegedly approached a homeowner offering driveway paving services.

After the homeowner declined, the suspect persisted, offering additional services for tree and roof maintenance.

The situation escalated when the suspect requested a blank check for gravel, despite the homeowner not agreeing to any purchases.

The homeowner did not comply with the suspect’s request and refused all offers.

The suspect was described as very persistent, but fortunately, the resident did not fall victim to the scam.

The Brentwood Police Department urges the community to stay alert and report any suspicious vehicles or activities to the authorities immediately.

The suspect remains unidentified beyond the vehicle description, and the investigation is ongoing.

Residents are reminded to exercise caution when approached with unsolicited services and to verify the legitimacy of any contractor or salesperson.
