SPRINGFIELD — A Weathersfield man was arrested in Springfield on an active in-state warrant, the Springfield Police Department reported Monday.
Shad Wright, 38, was taken into custody without incident around 1:57 p.m. after officers spotted him walking on Clinton Street.
Wright was approached by Officer Singleton and Officer Lewis-Briere, who confirmed the existence of the warrant.
The Springfield Police Department emphasized that law enforcement does not determine bail or incarceration, as these are matters for the judicial system, including judges, court clerks, and the state attorney’s office.
Wright has been issued a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Dec. 11 to respond to the charge.
The details of the warrant have not been disclosed.
