WARWICK — In a series of traffic stops, Rhode Island State Police made three arrests on charges ranging from shoplifting to driving under the influence.
On Friday, Dec. 27, at 3:47 p.m., troopers took Jennifer Remuck, 47, of Providence, into custody on a bench warrant for an original charge of shoplifting from the Providence Police Department.
The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick.
Remuck was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and then taken to the Adult Correctional Institutions Women’s Intake Center.
Later that evening, at 11:05 p.m., troopers arrested Kellie Martin, 36, of Central Falls, for forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates following a vehicle stop on Fales Street in Central Falls.
Martin was released on a misdemeanor summons with a pending arraignment date at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Saturday, Dec. 28, at 2:27 a.m., Christian Ruiz, 35, of Woonsocket, faced multiple charges after being stopped on Route 146 North in Lincoln.
Ruiz’s charges include driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs – first offense, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.
After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, Ruiz was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult.
