SPRINGFIELD — A 31-year-old Plymouth woman was arrested and charged with cocaine possession following a police search of her vehicle at a local apartment complex parking lot, according to the Springfield Police Department.

Officers responded to a call regarding an impaired driver at the Westview Terrace apartment complex on Dec. 6 at 1:29 p.m. Upon arrival, they observed the suspect’s vehicle adjacent to another car, which fled the scene.

Emily Lynds, the driver of the remaining vehicle, was ordered to exit her car after police noted several signs of drug activity.

Lynds refused to consent to a vehicle search, leading to its seizure by law enforcement.

A search warrant was obtained and later executed, revealing quantities of cocaine in Lynds’ vehicle.

The Springfield Police Department processed Lynds, who was subsequently issued a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on Feb. 18 at 8:30 a.m.
