BRAINTREE — A man was wounded in a shooting at 800 West St. on Friday afternoon, officials said.
At approximately 3 p.m., Braintree Police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting incident.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.
First responders, including police officers, firefighters, and paramedics, provided immediate treatment at the scene.
The victim was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
While the investigation into the circumstances of the shooting continues, authorities have indicated that there is no perceived ongoing threat to the community.
