KILLINGTON — A local man was arrested after being caught driving nearly double the speed limit on US Route 4, police said.

George Guile, 57, of Killington, was pulled over by Killington Police on Dec. 17 after he was clocked traveling at 92 mph in a 50 mph zone near Rabeck Mountain Road.

A Vermont DMV records check revealed that Guile was criminally suspended from driving due to a prior DUI conviction.

Further investigation by the officers also found that Guile had two active arrest warrants from Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division, and one from Bennington Superior Court, Criminal Division.

Guile was taken into custody and processed at the Killington Police Department for Criminal DLS (driving license suspended), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and the three outstanding warrants.

He was issued a citation to appear in court the next day, Dec. 18, for the warrants.

For the charges of Criminal DLS and negligent operation, Guile is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 10.

After processing, Guile was released.
