Boston police seek public help to identify suspect in Dorchester assault

BOSTON — Boston Police Department detectives are requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault that took place on Christmas Day in Dorchester.

The incident occurred at 1:25 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 25, near 778 Dudley Street.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, last seen wearing all black clothing and black gloves.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances of the assault.

The Boston Police Department urges anyone with information to contact District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.

To ensure the confidentiality of informants, community members who wish to provide information anonymously can call the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or text the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
