Portland police investigate overnight shooting on Cumberland Avenue

PORTLAND — On Dec. 26 at 12:08 a.m., Portland Police were called to the scene of a shooting at 139 Cumberland Avenue.

Officers arrived to find multiple windows shattered and evidence of gunfire penetrating several apartments within the building.

The investigation revealed that over a dozen shots had been fired into the structure.

Shell casings were later discovered in the nearby Peppermint Park, buried in snow.

Despite the significant property damage, no injuries were reported by residents.

Authorities are actively seeking information from the public to aid in the investigation.
