BOSTON — A Boston Police Cadet’s vigilance led to the arrest of a suspected package thief during a holiday toy delivery in South Boston on Tuesday.
At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 24, officers assigned to District C-6 arrested 34-year-old Kerri Flynn of South Boston for multiple larceny-related offenses.
The cadet noticed Flynn while police were distributing toys to local children, recognizing her as a suspected thief who had become known in the area.
Upon further investigation, officers confirmed Flynn’s identity and found her in possession of two bags full of unopened packages.
A database search also turned up several outstanding warrants for Flynn’s arrest on charges of shoplifting and receiving stolen property.
Flynn was taken into custody and is expected to face arraignment in South Boston Court on charges of Larceny from a Building.
