BRIGHTON — A domestic disturbance in the early hours of Christmas Day led to the arrest of a local man for assault and violating his release conditions, according to Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the Derby Barracks were called to a residence on Paul Bunyan Road at around 5:16 a.m. where they found evidence that Cody Cerbeil, 20, of Vernon, had assaulted a member of his household.
