SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield Police Department investigation led to the citing of a New Hampshire man for alleged vandalism at a local gas station, authorities reported Wednesday.

According to the police, officers responded to a call at the Circle K gas station shortly after midnight on Sept. 16, where they discovered the windshield of a vehicle had been damaged.

The investigation identified Pedro Rodriguez, 43, of Claremont, New Hampshire, as the suspect who had allegedly used a baseball bat to strike the windshield.

Rodriguez was not immediately apprehended following the incident.

However, he was located on Dec. 14 at around 9 p.m. and subsequently issued a citation.

Rodriguez is expected to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on Feb. 4 to respond to the unlawful mischief charge.
