Boston police seek public help to identify armed robbery suspect in Roxbury

BOSTON — Boston police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man involved in an armed robbery that occurred on the morning of Dec. 11 in Roxbury.

The incident took place around 8:05 a.m. near 333 Warren Street.

The Boston Police Department released a description of the suspect, who is a middle-aged Hispanic male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, last seen wearing a black ball cap, black jacket, dark gray pants, white sneakers, and carrying a backpack.

Following the robbery, he fled the scene on a bicycle heading toward Edgewood Street.

Detectives from District B-2, which covers Roxbury, have indicated that the suspect is known to frequent the store where the robbery took place and has a history of theft from the same location.

Authorities are reviewing the facts and circumstances of the robbery and urge anyone with information to contact District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.

The Boston Police Department assures that the identities of individuals providing anonymous tips will be protected.
