BETHEL — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Bethel man on charges of fentanyl and cocaine trafficking late Saturday night, according to the Vermont State Police.
Troopers from the Royalton Barracks stopped a vehicle on Route 12 at the intersection with Route 107 at about 11:10 p.m.
During the stop, they identified a passenger as 32-year-old Tyler Taitague, who had an active arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on initial charges of trafficking fentanyl and cocaine possession.
Taitague was taken into custody without incident and is scheduled to appear in the Windsor County Superior Court in Woodstock on Monday, Dec. 23, at 12:30 p.m. to face the charges.
