The homeowners were asleep but awakened by the blaze.

Fire investigators determined the cause was accidental, stemming from a chimney fire.

While responding to the Old Stone Road incident, investigators discovered a second structure fire in Lincolnville.

This blaze broke out shortly before 8:30 a.m. at 20 Mass Pike.

The single-story residence fire likely originated from a woodstove, according to officials.
