LINCOLNVILLE — The Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating two house fires that occurred early Friday in Lincolnville.
The first fire was reported around 1 a.m. at 13 Old Stone Road.
The homeowners were asleep but awakened by the blaze.
Fire investigators determined the cause was accidental, stemming from a chimney fire.
No injuries were reported.
While responding to the Old Stone Road incident, investigators discovered a second structure fire in Lincolnville.
This blaze broke out shortly before 8:30 a.m. at 20 Mass Pike.
The single-story residence fire likely originated from a woodstove, according to officials.
The homeowners were not present at the time.
The Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate both incidents.
