ROYALTON — A South Royalton man faces charges of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash late Friday night.
Joshua Demar, 39, was arrested after Vermont State Police troopers responded to the accident on Vermont Route 110 in Royalton at about 11:22 p.m. Dec. 20.
Troopers said they observed signs of impairment while speaking with Demar at the scene.
After conducting a roadside investigation, they took him into custody on suspicion of DUI.
Demar was transported to the Vermont State Police barracks in Royalton for processing.
He was later released with a citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court on Jan. 7 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the DUI charge.
The court date and time are subject to change, and those interested are advised to confirm the arraignment details with the criminal court clerk.
