SUNDERLAND — A 24-year-old Dorset man was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence for the third time, Vermont State Police said.
Charles T. Daley was stopped by troopers from the Shaftsbury barracks at approximately 12:17 a.m. on Vermont Route 7A in Sunderland for an observed motor vehicle violation, according to police.
During the traffic stop, troopers noticed several indicators of impairment and conducted a DUI screening.
Daley was subsequently arrested and taken to the Manchester Police Department for processing.
Authorities later released Daley with a citation to appear at the Bennington County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Jan. 13 at 8:15 a.m.
The arrest marks Daley’s third DUI offense, police said.
No further details about his previous arrests were immediately available.
