Revere police recover illegal firearm, arrest suspect

REVERE — Revere police officers recovered an illegally possessed firearm and ammunition during a call for service on North Shore Road, leading to the arrest of a 21-year-old man.

On Dec. 14, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., patrol units responded to the scene and safely seized a loaded 9mm high-capacity handgun along with 16 rounds of ammunition.

Ja-Marlee Miller of Attleboro, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with multiple firearms offenses, including possession of a large capacity firearm in the commission of a felony, assault with a dangerous weapon, and carrying a loaded firearm.

Miller was arraigned at Chelsea District Court on Dec. 15.

He is currently being held pending a dangerousness hearing.

The Revere Police Department commended the officers involved for their quick response and safe handling of the situation.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
