Drug bust nets 2 kilograms of cocaine in Fall River

FALL RIVER — Two men were arrested Tuesday after authorities intercepted a package containing approximately 2 kilograms of cocaine sent through the U.S.

Postal Service, police said.

Justin Dupras, 42, and Thomas Devoll, 61, both of Fall River, were charged with trafficking over 200 grams of cocaine and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

The arrests were the result of a joint operation involving the Fall River Police Community Action and Suppression Team, Fall River Police Neighborhood Engagement & Enforcement Team, U.S.

Postal Inspector’s Office, Massachusetts State Police District Attorney’s Office Narcotics Unit, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Authorities did not disclose the exact location where the package was intercepted or provide details on how the suspects were identified.

The case remains under investigation.
