BOSTON — Two juveniles were arrested early Thursday in connection with a break-in at the Snowport Holiday Market in Boston’s Seaport District, police said.
Officers from District C-6 arrested a 14-year-old and a 15-year-old male at 1:49 a.m. on Dec. 19 following a 911 call reporting a breaking and entering in progress.
The arrests came after a report of stolen money from a break-in at the market the previous night.
Officers patrolling the area observed two individuals in dark clothing walking through Seaport Common toward Northern Avenue.
Police believe the suspects fled through a hole in a fence into the market.
Private security stopped the two individuals, who were then detained by officers responding to a 911 call for assistance.
District C-6 detectives conducted an investigation at the scene, linking the juveniles to the previous night’s incident.
A significant amount of U.S. currency was recovered from the suspects, police said.
Both juveniles face charges of trespassing, breaking and entering a building at night for a felony, receiving stolen property, and larceny from a building.
They are expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
