Enosburg man arrested for domestic assault, outstanding warrants

ENOSBURG — On the late evening of Dec. 17, Vermont State Police apprehended 26-year-old Mark Clapper of Enosburg following a domestic disturbance on Perley Road.

Troopers were dispatched to the scene at 11:29 p.m. where they conducted an investigation that led to Clapper’s arrest for assaulting a member of his household.

During the arrest, authorities discovered Clapper had two active Cite and Release Warrants for misdemeanor retail theft totaling less than $900 and misdemeanor unlawful trespass on land.

Following his arrest, Clapper was processed at the St. Albans Vermont State Police Barracks.

He was then lodged at Northwest State Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000.

Clapper is scheduled to appear in Franklin County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Dec. 19 at 1 p.m. to face his charges.

The investigation into the domestic assault and the execution of outstanding warrants underline ongoing efforts to address family violence and enforce the rule of law in the community.
