1 min read

BRIDGEPORT — Police have issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Dylan Cruz-Tillery of Queens, New York, in connection with an Oct. 29 shooting at the University of Bridgeport.

Authorities say Cruz-Tillery is wanted for first-degree assault with a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit after a juvenile was shot in the arm at the Marina Dining Hall.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The shooting, which police believe was targeted, prompted a lockdown at the university.

Cruz-Tillery allegedly knew the victim and had previously communicated with him on social media.

During the investigation, a firearm and other evidence were recovered by the Major Crime Unit of the Bridgeport Police Department.

The lockdown was lifted the next morning.

Cruz-Tillery’s bond has been set at $250,000.

He is known to frequent the area around 223rd Street and 106th Street in Queens Village, NY.

The Bridgeport Police Department urges anyone with information on Cruz-Tillery’s whereabouts to call 911 and then contact Detective John Knapp at 203-581-5251.
