CRAFTSBURY — Two individuals were taken into custody following a physical dispute early Monday morning, according to Vermont State Police.
Owen Rego, 40, and Dana Mcintyre, 27, were involved in an incident on Griggs Road that resulted in both facing charges of simple assault and mutual affray.
State police reported receiving the call at 8:33 a.m. and responded to the scene where the altercation occurred.
Rego, a Craftsbury resident, was apprehended and processed at the Derby Barracks.
He was subsequently released on citation.
Mcintyre, who hails from Cabot, was located later by authorities and also issued a citation.
The Vermont State Police have not disclosed further details surrounding the cause of the altercation or any potential injuries sustained by either party.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
