DANBY — Vermont State Police arrested a local man Tuesday morning on charges of domestic assault and committing an offense in the presence of a child.
Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to a complaint of threatening behavior on Herberts Lane at approximately 10:18 a.m., Dec. 16.
An investigation revealed that 32-year-old Justin Hodgin had inflicted pain or bodily harm to a family or household member earlier on Dec. 12.
Following the investigation, Hodgin was taken into custody the next day without incident.
He was processed at the Rutland Barracks and then appeared before the Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division, to face charges related to the domestic assault and the presence of a child during the commission of the offense.
The Vermont State Police have not released the names of the victims in adherence to policies protecting individuals in cases of sexual assault or domestic violence.
