Boston police seek public’s help in identifying larceny suspect

BOSTON — Boston Police are requesting assistance from the public in their search for a woman suspected of larceny during a charity event at a local pub in Brighton.

The incident, which involved the theft of a purse, occurred at the Corrib Pub at 396 Market Street on Dec. 15, between 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The suspect allegedly rummaged through patrons’ personal belongings during the Allston-Brighton Toy Drive before making off with the item.

Authorities describe the suspect as an Asian female and have released a photo to aid in her identification.

The Boston Police Department’s detectives from District D-14 (Brighton/Allston) are leading the investigation.

They are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to come forward and contact them at (617) 343-4256.

The department ensures the confidentiality of all individuals who aid in the investigation.
