WHITINGHAM — Vermont State Police responded to a reported assault on VT Route 100 in Whitingham at 10:46 a.m. on Nov. 14.
Authorities said they spoke with the victim and conducted an investigation at the scene.
Their investigation concluded that Lauramae Kitchen, 22, of Brattleboro, had committed the offense of domestic assault.
Kitchen was issued a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Dec. 31 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charges.
The Vermont State Police did not release the name of the victim, in accordance with policies regarding victims of domestic violence.
