RUTLAND — A local man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle accident late Saturday night.
Vermont State Police responded to the incident on N Grove Street at approximately 10:01 p.m. where they discovered a 2017 Toyota Tundra with front-end damage.
The driver, identified as 58-year-old Thomas Moore of Rutland, was wearing his seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries.
During the interaction with Moore, troopers noted several signs of impairment.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
Moore is scheduled to appear at Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division on Dec. 30 at 10 a.m. to face DUI charges.
