BOSTON — The Boston Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 61-year-old woman from East Boston.
Elba Portillo was last seen at about 9:30 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 13, in the area of Marion Street after she left for her job on Meridian Street.
She failed to arrive at work and has been missing since.
Portillo has a history of going missing and is known to frequent the waterfront areas in East Boston.
Portillo is an Hispanic female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing around 140 pounds, with light skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.
She was last observed wearing a black jacket, purple sweatpants, and carrying a crossbody brown purse.
Authorities have expressed concern for Portillo’s well-being, noting that she suffers from insomnia and may be experiencing the early stages of dementia.
