St. Johnsbury man faces drug charges after jailhouse seizure

LYNDONVILLE — In the early hours of Dec. 14, Erich Langmaid, 40, of St. Johnsbury, was charged with possession of cocaine and a narcotic drug during his booking at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

According to the Lyndonville Police Department, at approximately 1:58 a.m., Langmaid was found with substances that tested presumptively positive for cocaine and fentanyl.

The items were confiscated and will be sent to the Vermont Forensic Laboratory for further analysis.

Langmaid has been cited to appear in Caledonia Superior Court for arraignment on June 30 at 8:30 a.m.

The Lyndonville Police Department is handling the ongoing investigation.
