RICHFORD — On Dec. 13, at approximately 11:17 p.m., Vermont State Police arrested Keegan Lagasse, 19, for allegedly threatening to bomb a school and for violating conditions of his release by consuming alcohol.
According to authorities, a call was received from Lagasse, who claimed he was planning to “blow up” a school on Dec. 14.
Police located Lagasse at his home on Troy Street and determined there was probable cause for his arrest.
His earlier threat was deemed false, intended to cause public alarm.
During the investigation, State Police collaborated with the Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union Superintendent to communicate with school families and staff swiftly.
Lagasse, who has a history of similar offenses, was charged earlier this year with False Public Alarms for bomb threats made in September and November in St. Albans and Richford.
He was taken to the St. Albans Barracks for processing and subsequently lodged at the Northwest State Correctional Facility on $500 bail.
Lagasse is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. at the Franklin County Superior Court.
