NORTH BRANFORD — Donna Sufyaan-Conyers, an employee of the United States Postal Service, was arrested on Dec. 4 after being caught smearing an unknown substance on a victim’s mailbox, and again on Dec. 12 by warrant for charges of Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief.

The North Branford Police Department had responded to seven similar complaints over the past year, including multiple incidents at the same residence.

Victims reported finding the substance on both the exterior and interior of their mailboxes.

Sufyaan-Conyers has been arraigned for both arrests at 121 Elm Street in New Haven.

The North Branford Police Department expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the United States Postal Inspectors and the community, which was instrumental in sharing information that led to the resolution of the incidents.
