HUDSON — A serious motor vehicle collision on Webster Street resulted in the Boston Med-Flight transportation of a New Hampshire woman to a Massachusetts hospital Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 12:55 p.m., Hudson Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene near 225 Webster Street, where they found a Jeep Wrangler had veered off the road.

The driver, identified as Meghan Blundon, 47, of Litchfield, New Hampshire, had struck a utility pole, which was severed, leaving wires dangerously low.

Good Samaritans helped Blundon, the sole occupant of the vehicle, to safety before emergency services arrived.

After assessing her injuries, Hudson Fire Department requested Med-Flight’s assistance due to the severity of her condition.

A landing zone was established at 211 Derry Street by the Hudson Historical Society, where Blundon was transported by ambulance before being airlifted to the hospital.

She was listed in serious but stable condition.

The northbound lane of Webster Street remained closed for several hours for utility pole repairs.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
