ST JOHNSBURY — Detective Sgt. Lester Cleary of the St. Johnsbury Police Department reported an arrest made on Dec. 11.
Antino Pepper, 27, who is currently homeless in St. Johnsbury, was apprehended after he fled the scene prior to the arrival of police officers who were responding to a request for assistance with another agency.
Pepper was located shortly afterward and taken into custody on an in-state warrant.
After being processed, Pepper was taken to court the same day at 12:30 p.m. He appeared before the Caledonia court and was subsequently released.
The St. Johnsbury Police Department provided no further details regarding the nature of the warrant or the assistance request from the other agency.
