ST. JOHNSBURY — Police arrested a local man Wednesday evening after he allegedly vandalized a car with a baseball bat in a municipal parking lot.
Stephen MacNevins, 44, of St. Johnsbury, faces charges of unlawful mischief following the incident on Railroad Street at 6:32 p.m., according to the St. Johnsbury Police Department.
Authorities responded to the scene after receiving reports of a man damaging a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers investigated and subsequently took MacNevins into custody.
MacNevins is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Court on Jan. 27 at 8:30 a.m.
