Rockland police quickly identify duo in Christmas tree theft

ROCKLAND — Rockland Police Department reported successful identification of two individuals accused of attempting to steal a decorated Christmas tree from a local hotel.

The suspects were captured on video which led to tips from the community aiding in their identification.

The incident occurred last night, and the department’s playful plea for assistance, invoking Dr. Seuss references, was met with a swift response.

Charges are now pending against the pair, whose motives remain unclear.

Officer Celjeta “Jeta” Bixhaku, who can be contacted at [email protected], led the call for information.

The department also encouraged people to send tips through direct messaging on their Facebook page.
