SEABROOK — A Rochester man was arrested on multiple charges after a high-speed pursuit ended in a collision Sunday night.
State Troopers from Troop A initiated the chase at 10:36 p.m. after clocking a 2020 Hyundai Accent at speeds exceeding 100 mph on Interstate 95 North.
The vehicle, driven by 31-year-old Jordan Metherall of Rochester, was also being sought by Massachusetts State Police for a similar offense.
The pursuit continued onto Exit 1 in Seabrook, with the Hyundai navigating through secondary roads before crashing into a 2012 Buick LaCrosse at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 107.
Following the crash, Metherall attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by Troopers and Seabrook Police officers.
A female passenger in the Hyundai sustained serious injuries, while the driver of the Buick was unharmed.
Metherall is facing several felony charges, including reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, and conduct after an accident.
He was placed in preventative detention and is expected to appear at Hampton District Court today for arraignment.
The accident led to a closure of a section of Route 107 for about 90 minutes during the investigation and vehicle removal.
Seabrook Police and Fire Departments assisted at the scene, and Pat’s Towing along with New England Truck Center facilitated the removal of the vehicles.
Authorities are investigating the incident further.
