PROVIDENCE — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended 27-year-old Jean Delance on a fugitive from justice warrant from New York, authorities announced Monday.
Delance, a resident of 63 Yale Avenue in Providence, was taken into custody on Dec. 9 as a fugitive from the State of New York Suffolk County Police Department, where he is wanted for 2nd Degree Burglary charges.
Following his arrest, Delance was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and later transported to the Sixth District Court for arraignment.
The court will also address his extradition to New York.
Captain Peter J. Chabot, Assistant Detective Commander, is leading the investigation.
