MANCHESTER — A Nashua man was arrested Thursday after allegedly stealing from two stores and resisting arrest, police said.
Matthew Dozibrin, 51, faces charges of robbery, theft by unauthorized taking, resisting arrest and breach of bail following incidents at Home Depot and Burlington Coat Factory.
At 8 p.m. Dec. 7, Manchester police responded to Home Depot on March Avenue for a reported robbery.
An asset protection specialist told officers a man entered the store, took wire cutters from the tool section and went to the employee breakroom, where he began removing tags from concealed items.
After being confronted by an employee, the man left.
Outside, when asked to return the wire cutters, he allegedly shoved them at the employee’s chest and fled.
Officers located Dozibrin in a parked vehicle on South Willow Street.
He attempted to flee and resisted arrest before being taken into custody, police said.
Investigators determined items concealed under Dozibrin’s coat were from nearby Burlington Coat Factory.
Dozibrin had been arrested two days earlier for an alleged unarmed robbery at Walmart where he fought with a detail officer, leading to the additional breach of bail charge.
