FAIRFAX — A single-vehicle crash on Main Street led to a DUI charge for a local man Monday night, according to Vermont State Police.
Authorities were called to the scene at 1534 Main Street around 7:41 p.m. They identified the driver as 20-year-old Andrew Tippy of Fairfax.
During the interaction with Tippy, troopers observed signs of impairment.
An investigation concluded that Tippy had been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
He was taken into custody and processed at the St. Albans Barracks.
Tippy was released with a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on Dec. 30 at 2 p.m.
