GROTON — Police arrested a 26-year-old man Monday evening on charges including first-degree assault and theft, as well as for outstanding warrants related to probation violations.
Sean Walsh, of 52 Merchants Avenue, Taftville, was taken into custody at a Groton residence around 5:17 p.m. after detectives executed an arrest warrant stemming from an earlier assault incident and a separate warrant for alcohol theft.
Authorities also discovered two active PRAWN warrants for Walsh’s arrest, both concerning violations of probation.
Walsh faces several charges: first-degree assault-aid by others, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault-aid by others, first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree breach of peace, false statement, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, and two counts of probation violation.
The court set Walsh’s bond at $295,000 cash/surety.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 10.
