BRATTLEBORO — In the early hours of Monday, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to an assistance request from the Hinsdale, NH Police Department involving a 14-year-old experiencing a mental health crisis.

At approximately 7:08 a.m., the juvenile commandeered a family member’s vehicle, leading authorities on a chase that started in Hinsdale.

The incident saw collaboration between multiple agencies, including Hinsdale, NH Police Department, Brattleboro Police Department, Bernardston Police Department, Gill Police Department, Greenfield Police Department, Bernardston Fire Department, and Northfield EMS.
